Our Client 

This utility scale solar developer is one of, if not THE leading name in the industry, with a huge development pipeline across the US, increasing year on year.    

The Challenge

Due to an internal promotion this client was in need of a Vice President of Development to lead and develop a young team whilst also providing hands on development expertise to satisfy the demanding development projects they had in progress and pipelined.

With a need for a significant level of North East Utility scale industry experience needed plus the balance of management and hands-on expertise, this required a very specific level of individual which fortunately we take pride in providing. Given our expertise in this area and having already discussed one very capable candidate, we took the role on as the exclusive agency of choice, taking full responsibility for the search.

What Happened

Afforded the client’s full commitment, we immediately prioritised this clients’ search, promptly reaching out to our network of both passive and active candidates, as well as reaching out to a number of identified prospects currently working at competing developers in the locations needed.

Within a matter of 48 hours, 5 highly qualified candidates were shortlisted and submitted, all of which were interviewed. 3 were taken through to 2nd stage, all supplemented with professional references and the successful candidate was offered within 10 days of the role initially being given to us.

Since that initial hire, this client has subsequently hired a 2nd of the candidates initially offered after another increase in project demands such was the quality of candidate pool. The benefits of giving an agency quality time to screen!
